Editorial Andean Memory

This editorial seeks to explore the fusion between Ecuadorian crafts, alongside treasures from other countries, the vibrant world of Tigua Art and contemporary design. It features a personal collection of Andean crafts spanning fifteen years, showcasing the inherent beauty of artisanal jewelry and garments. Meanwhile, Tigua Art, emerged in the 1970s in Cotopaxi province, is celebrated for its spontaneity and color.
The narrative unfolds by juxtaposing everyday elements in unconventional contexts, infusing a playful tone that highlights the profound connection between the aesthetics of popular art and the showcased garments. Through this approach, the editorial aims to unveal the interplay between tradition and contemporary design, portraying artisanal expression as a form of fashion that merges cultural heritage with modern sensibilities.
