Midnight<br>Seen by Parfum
Founded in 2019 by Nina Urgell and Marc Ciudad, mid/night 00.00 blends creativity with exceptional products. The brand is a synthesis of imagination and craftsmanship, creating products that go beyond function to offer a unique experience. mid/night is not just a brand, but a labor of passion, intention, and curiosity. It emerged from a desire to explore new concepts of beauty, extending beyond the physical and embracing the idea that beauty exists in many forms. The brand strives to create products that evoke not only results but also powerful sensations, making each product an experience in itself. The objective of the project was to participate in the «Seen By» initiative, where artists create an artistic interpretation inspired by a new fragrance line. Each fragrance tells a personal story or memory, captured through sustainably sourced materials and thoughtful formulations. The fragrance serves as inspiration, inviting individuals to express a unique interpretation through any artistic medium. Inspired by the rich, imaginary world of Codex Seraphinianus, I sought to create a new «species» crafted from the ingredients of the perfume. This concept is rooted in the belief that, within the world of scent, there exists a quiet philosophy embedded in each bottle. It blends stories and origins, with ingredients from distant lands each bringing its own narrative, merging together to create something entirely novel. The perfume becomes a reflection of how disparate elements can unite to form beauty and meaning. The art direction aims to visualize this new «species» using elements inspired by botanical forms and abstract shapes. This approach highlights the unique origins of each ingredient while evoking the beauty that comes from blending these components into a meaningful fragrance.
