Decompose
This photographic project explores decomposition from a fresh perspective, highlighting its beauty and transformative nature. Rather than being seen as undesirable, the process reveals magical transitions of colors and textures, redefining traditional perceptions of what is considered «rotten.» Putrid food and decaying matter are often associated with spoilage, but these works challenge that notion. Close observation uncovers captivating transformations—a ripe banana shifts to pinkish tones, and bread’s brown crust becomes vibrant green landscapes, reminiscent of mountains. These photographs capture the mesmerizing beauty of decay, focusing on the vibrant colors and intricate textures that emerge. The hidden allure within the cycle of life and death reminds us that even in decay, there is beauty and the potential for new life.
