Edelgrund invites viewers on a journey into the soul of Persia—a rich convergence of tradition and art. Their mission reaches beyond rugs, revealing a vibrant cultural heritage shaped by centuries-old techniques, expressive craftsmanship and breathtaking landscapes. Each of their designs bridges Persia’s enduring history with contemporary artistic language, resulting in pieces that defy temporal or aesthetic boundaries. Commissioned by Partida Continua, this photographic series approaches Edelgrund’s rugs as singular works of art. Conceived as a gallery-like experience, the shoot frames each piece with the reverence typically reserved for sculptures or paintings, emphasizing their intricate craftsmanship, cultural symbolism, and sculptural presence. The resulting images present the rugs not only as functional objects, but as artifacts of Persian heritage—meticulously crafted by artisans who carry forward traditions that have shaped generations.
